Who can take acid peel?
Chemical acids can benefit all the skin types and skin concern. However, the choice of agent differs as discussed in table given below:
MED LACTIC 40%
Lactic acid 40%. Stimulates production of new collagen and glycosaminoglycans. Indicated for sensitive skin and décolleté areas, for its high tolerance by the skin.
MED SALICYLIC 30%
30% salicylic acid provides a powerful keratolytic and sebum-regulating effect. Indicated to reduce the size of pores and attenuate superficial acne scars.
MED GLYCOLIC 50%
50% glycolic acid peel. Indicated for moderate skin aging, moderate dyschromia and superficial acne scars.
MED MELANOPLUS (trichloacetic 20%, kojic 4%, ferulic 1%)
Self-neutralizing, depigmenting, combined peel for focal use. Indicated for dark spots, lentigines and hyperpigmentation.
MED AZELAN ( salicylic 20%, Azelaic 20%)
Peel with antifungal and comedolytic properties. Indicated especially for treating the different stages of acne.
MED PIRUVEX (pyruvic 40% lactic 10%)
Piruvex is intended primarily for anti-aging therapy, it smoothes wrinkles, reduces discoloration, makes the skin smooth, firm and radiant.
An indication for the use of the preparation is also mixed, oily and acne skin.
How many treatment?
The periocular treatment is applied in 5-6 sessions, with application of the peel followed by the administration of the intra dermal active with mesotherapy or micro needling, and can be done in one session or alternate treatment sessions. The application area includes: upper eyelid (excluding the tarsal plate), outer corner of the eye and the lower eyelid.
There is an immediate glow and brightening, with improvement to wrinkles, ptosis and pigmentation becoming visible in week 3 onward.
